Howard County Library exists to give the fullest service possible to the greatest number of citizens.  To achieve this goal, the Director and staff will endeavor at all times to have a clear sense of purpose, a substantial knowledge of the collection and a great desire to be of service.

Howard County Library will meet the informational, recreational, and cultural needs of the people of Howard County, through appropriate print and technological resources and cultural events.
