City-County LibraryThe City-County Library’s service area encompasses the cities of Tahoka, O’Donnell, New Home, and Wilson, and serves a population of over 5,000.The City of Tahoka and Lynn County provide funding for the library which is supplemented by grants from Lone Star Libraries, and various other charitable organizations. The library also holds a silent auction at the Lynn County Harvest Festival, and two book sales each year to raise additional funds needed for operating expenses; as well as accepting donations and memorials from individuals.

Tahoka native Claudia Guin serves as Library Director for the City-County Library. She is assisted by Amy Stroope.

 History

The City-County Library in Tahoka had its beginning in 1931, under the auspices of the Phebe K. Warner Club, who sponsored a book tea where members donated books. From those humble beginnings, the library's catalog has grown to include over 10,000 titles.
